I run into so many people who think being outdoors is crazy, yet campgrounds fill up so much. Last March in AZ, we were bumped twice out of campgrounds because they were full. We tent camp and it was full of RV's. Fee's have also gone up because of peoples use of water, etc.

http://outdoorbaby.net

Comment on Old Orchard Beach, you're just not that snappy

Warren,

Thanks for the feedback! I guess that lends some creedence to my rule of thumb, if it's too close, it's too close. I drove through Old Orchard Beach during April and must admit I got a case of the woolies just imagining what July and August might bring.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll continue to take the extra hours to head Down East for my camping.

Comment on P-Town: the other Magic Kingdom

Now that family portrait has something for everyone in it! Every time I get away from Worcester or Boston I feel eternally grateful to whatever forces are controlling my motions from town to town. Getting my girlfriend camping is the ultimate goal this summer though.

Great post Jennifer!

Comment on Ten things to bring to make your camping trip snappy

Now just how to fit all this, along with my dog and all of HIS gear into my Saturn!
